NEW YORK: At a time when numerous PR firms are running away from so-called b-to-c or consumer tech clients, Connors Communications has decided to embrace them. The New York-based boutique, which specializes in Internet start-ups, has announced the launch of a consumer lifestyle group headed by newly hired VP Pamela Manela.

As of today, the group has just one client, decoratetoday. com. However, Manela, who spent the past three years with Clifford Public Relations in New York, will be building the practice group over the next few months.

Prior to Clifford, Manela worked on the lifestyle team for Kratz & Company (now part of Magnet Communications) and worked on campaigns for Gap's Old Navy in New York and the national roll-out of Perfumes Isabell.

In addition to consumer lifestyle, Connors practice groups include b-to-b, consumer, financial services and Connors Digital.
