Cole & Porter lands Nike ACG brand

PORTLAND, OR: Northwest integrated agency Cole & Weber has nabbed the PR business for Nike's All Conditions Gear (ACG) brand, as well as poaching former Nike ACG corporate communications manager Dawn Leonetti.

PORTLAND, OR: Northwest integrated agency Cole & Weber has nabbed the PR business for Nike's All Conditions Gear (ACG) brand, as well as poaching former Nike ACG corporate communications manager Dawn Leonetti.

Leonetti, who previously handled Nike's ACG PR in-house, will serve as associate director for Cole & Weber, a newly-created position overseeing daily PR operations. She will supervise account teams in the Portland and Seattle offices as well as help grow a new specialty practice in outdoor sports PR.

Prior to Nike, she spent three years at Waggener-Edstrom working on the Microsoft account.

Nate Tobeckson, formerly communications manager for Trek Bicycles, has been named as Leonetti's replacement at Nike. Trek Bicycles and Nike announced a partnership earlier this year, with Nike ACG stamping its name on Trek's high performance cycling wear.

For Cole & Weber, Nike's ACG business is just one of five new accounts the agency has signed since September. Other PR clients that have recently joined the roster include PrintBid.com; Tillamook County Creamery Association; BHA Technologies' new eVENT outerwear fabric; and PCsync, a new consumer file management product from LapLink.com. Tillamook was handled previously by KVO Public Relations. Cole & Weber is the first PR firm of record for all the other companies.

In total, the new business is worth more than dollars 500,000 in added annual fee revenue.
