NEW YORK: PRWeek is this week introducing expanded coverage of careers, media, investor relations and public affairs, as well as the opening of a new Los Angeles bureau.

A new careers page on the inside back cover (see p. 27) focuses on career advice, job tips and an insight into different workplaces. Central to this page is PRWeek's own advice column, masterminded by the feisty Pandora.

Responding to reader requests for more on media relations, PRWeek has introduced a new media feature (see p. 13) which focuses on a different sector each week, describing how PR people achieve coverage.

Staff have been recruited to boost coverage of key areas. A new public affairs reporter, Douglas Quenqua, is working in Washington, DC, discovering how PA people are working alongside the new Bush administration. In the New York office, reporter Robin Londner is specializing in IR.

And for the first time, a bureau chief in LA will be appointed later this month to expand coverage of Hollywood PR and the SoCal region.
