FOSTER CITY, CA: Wilson McHenry Company, one of the last remaining independently owned hi-tech PR firms in Silicon Valley, has opened its doors in San Francisco with dollars 2 million in new business.

The Foster City, CA-based agency, which also has outposts in New York, Salt Lake City and London, opened a San Francisco branch to accommodate what partner Julie McHenry called 'a growing roster of staff and clients' there. VP of client services Annie Longsworth was tapped to lead the new office, which already boasts 22 full-time employees.

In the past two months, Wilson McHenry has won five new accounts: Kanisa, a Cupertino, CA-based provider of knowledge management applications; Echopass, a convergence software company previously with the Jona Group in San Francisco; Round 1 Private Capital Marketplace, a San Francisco financial services firm formerly represented by Shandwick International; and New Focus, the Santa Clara, CA-based fiber-optics products supplier.
