BOSTON: Business Wire, and CCBN, an IR Web site provider, will co-market a Webcast product designed to help companies comply with Regulation Fair Disclosure (Reg FD).

Michael Becker, global financial and business development specialist for Business Wire, said the service, which combines a CCBN Webcast with a Business Wire advisory news release, actually exceeds Reg FD requirements.

'The point of Regulation FD is broad disclosure, and we're going beyond that by combining a news release with CCBN's institutional and individual investor reach,' said Becker.

Reg FD, which went into effect October 23, requires US public companies to simultaneously disclose to all investors relevant information that may influence investment decisions.

Greg Radner, director of marketing for CCBN, said the combined reach of CCBN and Business Wire means that Reg FD Webcasts can be viewed by more than 50 million individual Web users, thousands of more targeted institutional investors and the financial media.

CCBN and Business Wire entered a strategic alliance in June 2000.
