SAN JOSE, CA: Adobe Systems has named The Weber Group as agency of record for its corporate account, which is said to be worth upwards of dollars 500,000 annually. San Mateo-based A&R Partners handles the company's product account.

The corporate account includes existing Adobe brands, such as Photoshop and GoLive, as well as Network Publishing, a new cross-platform software line.

The business will be handled by a staff of between eight and 12 people out of Weber's San Francisco and Washington, DC offices, with San Francisco handling business relations and DC managing government marketing.

Although Weber had been doing contract work for Adobe, the agency had to pitch competitively for the account. Sources at both firms credited the win to longstanding ties between several agency executives and Kevin Burr, Adobe VP of corporate communications.
