Bloomberg hosts Webcasts for PRN

NEW YORK: PR Newswire and Bloomberg will announce today a joint

Webcast and corporate communications service that will make it easier

for PR people using Bloomberg to target institutional investors.

To meet demand increased by Regulation FD, the new service - Bloomberg

Virtual Online Interactive Communications Exchange (VOICE) - will post

PRN materials to Bloomberg's terminals and news feeds, as well its Web

site, Bloomberg.com. This will be the first time Bloomberg will carry

full, live Webcasts for corporations.

Michelle Savage, PRN's VP of investor relations services, said the

benefit of Bloomberg VOICE will be its reach to institutional investors,

200,000 of which use the service, 75% on the buy side.

'The quality of the audience you're getting is enormous,' said

Savage.

'Knowing your Webcast will be listened to by one institutional investor

is more important than it being listened to by 100 individual

investors.'

Bloomberg VOICE will be immediately available in the US and Asia, and in

Europe in about a month.

With the passage of Reg FD, PRN saw a 138% increase in live Webcasts

from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of 2000.

'For the first time, we're creating a special portal where companies

have direct access to a page where an institutional investor can go to

get the information they need,' said Savage.
