R. Duffy Wall and GPC merge to form mega-lobbying firm in DC

WASHINGTON: Two lobbying firms with offices in Washington, DC, will

merge this week to create one of the largest non-law-firm lobbying

operations in the nation's capital.

R. Duffy Wall & Associates and GPC International, both part of

Fleishman-Hillard, will join under the name FH/GPC.

Currently, R. Duffy Wall is based in DC, while GPC's US operation is

headquartered in Boston. R. Duffy Wall and GPC's DC offices will combine

operations at the former's DC location. Bill Brewster, R. Duffy Wall's

chairman, will take on a the same role at FH/GPC, and John Cahill, a GPC

SVP, will serve as vice chairman. Rob Mooney, COO for Fleishman's DC

office, will serve as interim COO of the new firm, which has about 30

employees.

As a result of the merger, GPC's offices in Boston and Providence, RI,

will be marketed under the FH/GPC brand. Paul O'Neill, formerly chairman

of GPC US, is now chairman of FH/GPC's operations in New England.
