NEWS IN BRIEF

TORRANCE, CA: The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, currently in talks with

Toyota over the firm's alleged lack of ethnic diversity, has postponed

calls for an African-American boycott of the firm's products until the

two parties meet again Aug. 1. The minority rights organization is

pressing the company to add African-Americans to its mainly Asian board

of directors. Toyota has already employed an African-American ad agency

along with Tobin & Associates as its African-American PR agency.
