PWC weighing PR firm possibilities

NEW YORK: PriceWaterhouseCoopers' (PWC) management consultancy

services group is on a stealthy search for a PR agency.

Global PR director Sehra Eusufzai confirmed, "We are just starting to

look for some help. We are making calls and doing some reviews."

Eusufzai said the firm had spent some time researching agencies, big and

small.

The move comes exactly two years after PWC consolidated its corporate PR

business, replacing the 23 US agencies it used previously with Omnicom

agency Porter Novelli as part of a $4 million global branding

account.

The review does not affect PN's current relationship with PWC.

Eusufzai said the division had not used PN for some time, but now needed

assistance. She refused to say what projects the agency would be

involved in. "It's just a question of sustaining momentum. We are doing

a lot of activities, and some more heavy lifting will be required."
