WASHINGTON: Former Powell Tate managing director Dale Leibach is
poised to rejoin the Cassidy Companies in a newly created senior
Leibach left Powell Tate in December 2000 to advise Senator Robert
Torricelli (D-NJ) in an ongoing investigation of his campaign finances.
He helped the senator, a longtime friend from the Carter administration,
recruit a press secretary and build a communications team. The post was
intended to be a temporary one, and it is unclear at this time whether
Torricelli will replace him.
It is believed that Leibach's new role will have him working closely
with Gerry Cassidy, chairman and CEO of the Cassidy Companies. Mark Day,
a spokesperson for the agency, confirmed that Cassidy had been in talks
with Leibach, but said that nothing is definite at this time.
