PALM DESERT, CA: Motivated by Census 2000 numbers showing increased
Hispanic presence and buying power, advertising and PR agency
Kiner/Goodsell has created a new firm to provide communication services
specifically to the Hispanic market.
Vision Advertising and Marketing is already performing Hispanic PR
outreach for former Kiner/Goodsell clients Marriott Resorts, La Quinta
Inns, Riverside Transit Agency, Eisenhower Medical Center and the
Fantasy Springs Casino.
The new agency is also pitching for four more Hispanic PR clients in
According to Lea Goodsell, president of Kiner/Goodsell and Vision, she
spun off the new agency because, in order to ensure credibility, a
Hispanic agency should have a Spanish-sounding name.
"The demand out there for these kind of services is overwhelming," said
Goodsell, who anticipates adding at least two or three PR staffers to
the Vision team in the next three months. Currently, only two of
Vision's four employees specialize in PR.
Goodsell also said Kiner/ Goodsell is moving other business ventures off
site and re-negotiating worker contracts to make room for Vision.
Goodsell said she anticipates Vision will become the lead agency and
will reverse the current relationship to eventually refer work to
