JP Morgan Chase is GOAL's latest target

NEW YORK: The Gay Officers Action League of New York (GOAL) and the

New York Coalition for Inclusive Scouting teamed up to protest JP Morgan

Chase outside its Manhattan headquarters last week. The groups want the

bank to cease its involvement with Boy Scouts of America, which went to

US Supreme Court to safeguard its right to bar gays from enrolling in,

or leading a Boy Scout troop.

Edgar Rodriguez, GOAL's executive director, said his aim is to educate

bank execs on the image and financial damage of the company's

policy.

"A company built on relationships must realize the need for positive

relationships with all," said Rodriguez. GOAL wants to educate the

company to fund "organizations that do not send messages that harm

children."
