EPB PR's chief will join Jane Goodall

WASHINGTON: Fred Thompson, who has headed Earle Palmer Brown Public

Relations (EPB PR) for the past six years, is leaving to head the Jane

Goodall Institute, a nonprofit group focused on animal and environmental

preservation, research, and education issues.

Replacing Thompson will be Phil Armstrong, a 20-year PR veteran who

currently leads the EPB PR operation in Washington, DC. He will continue

to be based at the DC office, which is actually located in Bethesda, MD,

and will now oversee operations in New York, Philadelphia, and Stamford,

CT.

Recently, Armstrong was given added responsibility when the firm merged

its hi-tech agency, KSK Communications, with EPB PR's DC shop.

Thompson said he is looking for ways in which the Jane Goodall Institute

can work with EPB.
