New York: The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has
entered into a marketing deal with the US' two largest minority press
release wire services, Hispanic PR Wire (HPRW) and Black PRWire (BPRW),
both headquartered in Miami.
The wire services will give a 5% discount to PRSA members. The three
companies will seek to cross-promote their services, and recruit more
minorities into PR.
"This deal shows that we will do everything we can to become a more
diverse organization," said Catherine Bolton, PRSA's executive director
Manny Ruiz, president and CEO of HPRW, and Bernadette Morris, president
and CEO of BPRW, praised the deal as a way to connect diverse audiences
while strengthening the value of minority wire services.
HPRW reaches Latino media in Spanish and English, in the US and Latin
America. BPRW reaches black opinion leaders in English and Creole in the
US, Virgin Islands and Caribbean.
