Ex-WSW director debuts new shop with Coke PR task

MINNEAPOLIS: The former director of Weber Shandwick Worldwide's

national consumer and life stages industry practice group is starting

his own Twin Cities PR shop and has nabbed an assignment from Coca-Cola

as his first new business.

Jorg Pierach has founded Fast Horse with a staff of three full-time

people.

His first assignment will be handling national PR for Coke's Super Bowl

sponsorship. Pierach used contacts from his past to nab the Coke

business.

"I really grew up with the Coca-Cola account back at Shandwick," he

said.

Fast Horse will specialize in consumer-oriented marketing PR.

Pierach said he began seriously thinking about starting his own agency

three years ago. He took the past summer off to work out final details

and incorporate the agency.

The souring economy didn't deter him. "People are looking for more value

from their PR right now, so there is work to be had," he said.
