WASHINGTON: Alisa Fogelman-Beyer will soon fill the long-vacant general manager's seat at Hill & Knowlton's DC office.

The last person to formally hold the position, Victoria "Torie

Clarke, left early last year to become head of public affairs for the Department of Defense. In her absence, then-CEO Tom Hoog relocated to DC to manage the office, H&K's largest, until a permanent replacement could be found.

He continues on as non-executive chair of H&K USA, overseeing "special assignments."

Fogelman-Beyer will assume her new duties July 1. She joined H&K in January 2001 when it bought her marketing and PR shop, The ProMarc Agency. She has since served as the DC office's corporate and technology practice leader.
