Pharma PR heads to gather at debut PRWeek congress

NEW YORK: PRWeek's inaugural healthcare conference will feature a session based on "Partners with Vision," Ernst & Young's (EY) first global pharmaceutical report.

NEW YORK: PRWeek's inaugural healthcare conference will feature a session based on "Partners with Vision," Ernst & Young's (EY) first global pharmaceutical report.

The conference, titled "Pharma's PR Diagnosis," will be held November 20 in New York. Speakers include Steve Lampert, AstraZeneca senior director, public affairs; Gloria Stone, director of global PR from Novartis Oncology; and Jeffrey Richardson, Amgen's director of corporate communications.

An EY healthcare section advisor will present information from its first global report, based on visions and best practices of pharma, biotech, and related health-industry leaders, as well as financial analysts and regulators. Data is included from the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, and other countries.

"EY saw an opportunity to provide a platform to launch a meaningful discussion of how the pharmaceutical industry can better communicate its value proposition to the public," said Blake Devitt, EY's Americas pharmaceutical section leader.
