Genden tapped to fill SVP role in PR21 consumer group

NEW YORK: PR21 has appointed Kurt Genden, former EVP at Evins Communications, to the position of SVP of its New York consumer practice.

NEW YORK: PR21 has appointed Kurt Genden, former EVP at Evins Communications, to the position of SVP of its New York consumer practice.

The post had been vacant for over a year, during which Bridget Brennan, national consumer practice head, was running all accounts from Chicago.

Now the accounts will be led from New York, where Genden will join new CEO Jerry Epstein.

Genden left Evins - a firm specializing in luxury goods - for the post at PR21 so he could work with larger, global clients. "The idea of working with such companies as Whirlpool and Johnson & Johnson was very attractive," he said.

While he does not anticipate bringing any clients directly from Evins, Genden said he plans to get PR21 more involved in many of the same areas he focused on at his former agency.
