LONDON: Incepta founder David Wright has moved into the position of non-executive chairman. The move makes CEO Richard Nichols the most senior executive at the UK-based marketing and communications company, which houses the Citigate brand.

According to the company, the move was part of a succession plan that has been in place since Nichols was brought in as CEO in March 2001. Wright, who founded the company in 1988, will remain as non-executive chairman, but will not be as involved in the day-to-day operations.

In the US, Incepta's network includes strategic financial communications shop Citigate Sard Verbinnen, technology-focused Citigate Cunningham, and its recently rebranded IR agency Citigate Market Intelligence.
