Kornecki's main responsibility will be coordinating the practices that fall under the corporate umbrella, such as crisis management, financial communications, lobbying, and employee communications. "My responsibility is to help develop a holistic approach to corporate communications," he said.

Kornecki will work from Atlanta, where he was most recently Southern regional president and GM of Atlanta. The decision to keep him in Atlanta coincides with Edelman's acquisition of the Atlanta-based Headline Group (see p.1).

Kornecki was previously president of Edelman's office in Chicago, after spending 14 years at Burson-Marsteller.
