Fleishman picks new creative boss

ST. LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard has hired Catherine Rohan as a creative director in its interactive group.

ST. LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard has hired Catherine Rohan as a creative director in its interactive group.

Rohan has moved from London to St. Louis to take the position. She had served as creative director for the London offices of ad agencies D'Arcy, and Euro RSCG. She has also worked in San Francisco as an art director for ad agency Foote, Cone & Belding.

Rohan, an American, had been seeking relocation to the US. Fleishman heard of her availability through informal contacts in the business, said SVP Ed Presberg, the senior partner who heads Fleishman's creative group.

The interactive division is housed under the creative group.

Fleishman has three creative directors in its interactive group. It has been working this year to get them involved earlier in the client planning process than had been the norm in the past, Presberg said.

"Catherine is going to be far more integrated into our marketing communications group," he said.

Fleishman's marketing communications group has been doing more in the areas of customer loyalty and grassroots efforts, and "we want to properly support that in the online world," he said.

Rohan's advertising background brings Fleishman "an interesting perspective.

It should help us collaborate more effectively with ad agencies" on client web needs, Presberg said.

Rohan reports to Mike Sabatino, the SVP who oversees the interactive group. The group provides web design, online communications, online research, and measurement to clients.
