Osbournes create exclusive PR agency

LOS ANGELES: The Osbourne family is taking charge of its PR efforts by forming a new PR agency under the banner of Sharon Osbourne's management company.

LOS ANGELES: The Osbourne family is taking charge of its PR efforts by forming a new PR agency under the banner of Sharon Osbourne's management company.

Lisa Vega Public Relations will exclusively handle communications and strategy for rock's reigning family, and function as part of Mrs. Osbourne's business enterprises. Lisa Vega is formerly an EVP at Susan Blond, and headed the West Coast office. Vega has handled the Osbournes' account for Blond for more than three years.

"It's a very big job, one that requires my full attention," said Vega.

"It's really five or six clients rolled up into one. Each requires a lot of media attention on their own."

Vega's immediate efforts will center on the launch of the second season of The Osbournes on MTV, which is scheduled for the end of November, but may be delayed due to ongoing colon cancer treatment for Mrs. Osbourne.

Vega is also helping with the launch of Kelly Osbourne's first album, also slated for later this fall.

Kelly will be featured on the cover of at least two teen magazines as part of the album launch efforts, and the entire family will appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of People.

Vega will also handle PR for a new cast member on The Osbournes: family friend Robert Marcato, who moved into the family's Beverly Hills home after his mother passed away.
