Dow Corning taps Loomis Group for electronics work

MIDLAND, MI: Dow Corning Electronics has selected the Loomis Group to provide PR and strategy development.

MIDLAND, MI: Dow Corning Electronics has selected the Loomis Group to provide PR and strategy development.

"We selected them for their depth of knowledge of the semiconductor and electronics industry," said Tim Adams, global marketing communications manager. Dow Corning Electronics previously used APCO Worldwide, which remains the agency of record for Dow Corning Corp.

Dow Corning Electronics has a breadth and depth of resources and services beyond its products - including research and manufacturing - that are not as well-known as the company would like, explained Adams. The Loomis Group will help shine a spotlight on those components of the electronics division, as well as the greater role Dow Corning Electronics plays in the hi-tech industry.

"We're not just products," said Adams. "We offer numerous services and turnkey solutions that the market is just unaware of."

"Much of our initial work will be with the trade and business press," said Jeff Loomis, CEO and founder of the Loomis Group. "We're really going to work on developing a better understanding of who they are and what they do. Sometimes when you are such a huge blue-chip company, people have heard of you, but aren't sure what it is you do, and what you have to offer."
