Agilent taps WSW as its global AOR

PALO ALTO, CA: Agilent has consolidated all its communications with Weber Shandwick Worldwide, naming it global AOR.

WSW had previously provided services to various business units, as well as corporate PR. The agency will now handle all facets of Agilent's PR, including strategy and message development, media relations, speaking opportunities, product reviews, trade shows, and events.

Agilent had also worked with A&R Partners, Publicis Dialog, and Fleishman-Hillard's former KVO brand.

"Weber Shandwick was already working with several of our business groups, so we knew they had expertise in this area," said Michele Drake, Agilent's PR manager. "They also have a global reach, which is very important to us as a global firm. And they are very strong in the technology field overall."

WSW will help Agilent integrate messages across its various business lines, focusing particularly on the company as a technology leader and as a well-managed company, said Drake.

Casey Sheldon, WSW's president of the West Coast tech practice, will serve as global director of the Agilent team.

"Agilent is a very innovative company, and there's room for Agilent to get more credit for its innovation, and to be more clear about the differences that innovation makes to the industry Agilent serves," said Sheldon.
