Perlmutter goes to Cohn & Wolf

NEW YORK: Cohn & Wolfe has hired Diane Perlmutter away from Young & Rubicam sister company Burson-Marsteller.

NEW YORK: Cohn & Wolfe has hired Diane Perlmutter away from Young & Rubicam sister company Burson-Marsteller. She joins the firm as vice chairman and CEO of the New York office. Perlmutter will use her experience in integrated marketing to help grow the C&W NY office to $20 million. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with C&W's other North American offices on national accounts and running the NY office on a day-to-day basis. 'She'll have a lot on her plate,' said C&W president/CEO Steve Aiello. Perlmutter's appointment was one of a number of upper management changes. John Frew was named vice chairman/U.S. region, while Barbara-Jo Howard was promoted to executive VP, marketing and client services/U.S. region.
