Ketchum win as Dixie adopts PR

SAN FRANCISCO: Ketchum Food Marketing has won the Dixie Foodservice Business account and now serves as agency of record. It's the first time Dixie has used PR.

SAN FRANCISCO: Ketchum Food Marketing has won the Dixie Foodservice Business account and now serves as agency of record. It's the first time Dixie has used PR.

'We believe we were the only West Coast agency who made it to the finals,' said Ketchum's Kim Kurata.

Headquartered in Norwalk, Conn, Dixie Foodservice is a leading supplier of foodservice disposables, including Dixie cups, containers, foodwrap and food trays.

Staff managing the new account include vice president management supervisor Shelley Roth and senior account executive Jennifer McConnell. They report to group vice president Chip Collier.

Ketchum Food Marketing's clients include Kikkoman International, J.R. Simplot, the Almond Board of California, the California Strawberry Commission and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association.

Dixie is a division of Fort James Corporation, an international consumer paper products company with annual sales of $7.3 billion, some 28,000 employees and 60 manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada and Europe.

Ketchum Food Service specializes in the foodservice and industrial food sectors and is a unit of Ketchum, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Omnicon Group.
