NEW YORK: Hoping to be a one-stop shop for PR firms needing production services, Medialink last week announced the acquisition of WirePix, a NY-based PR photo service. The deal adds production and distribution of still photography to Medialink's list of services.

'WirePix is a great fit,' said Greg Jones, VP of marketing communications.

'Our clients don't have to go to three or four places to provide communications services.'

As part of the agreement, WirePix founder Jim Sulley has joined Medialink as director of photographic services. 'It's rare to find a photojournalist who thinks like the person that's going to use the picture,' said Jones.
