CAMBRIDGE, MA: Polaroid is on the hunt for a new PR manager

following the retirement of Allan Verch, who had been with the company

for 30 years.

The company is looking for someone to continue the high-profile

publicity events Polaroid has coordinated within the past month for its

I-Zone Instant Pocket Camera, which include sponsorship of the

Backstreet Boys’ tour and a partnership with designer Todd Oldham.

According to Mary Courville, Polaroid senior marketing communications

manager, candidates should have a minimum of five years of hi-tech and

consumer experience. The new PR manager will be responsible for

Polaroid’s digital cameras, scanners and printers, and will also manage

Polaroid’s PR agencies, which include The Weber Group for digital

products and Porter Novelli for the rest of the business.
