LOS ANGELES: Reflecting the growing importance of West Coast

operations to the firm’s bottom line, Manning, Selvage & Lee has created

a new post, chief executive of California, and promoted Los Angeles

managing director Jill Farwell to fill it.

A 15-year MS&L veteran, Farwell is now responsible for overseeing the LA

and San Francisco offices in addition to continuing as head of the

global consumer marketing practice. SVP Bonnie Quintanilla has been

promoted as well, to the post of managing director for MS&L Global

Technology.

The promotions reflect California’s critical role in the future of the

MS&L network, according to chairman and CEO Lou Capozzi. ’We’re very

serious about California,’ said Capozzi. ’It’s by far our biggest market

right now - both financially and in terms of talent.’

Golden State operations (including MS&L Global Technology in Westlake

Village) account for about dollars 17.5 million - or 25% - of MS&L’s

global revenues. The three CA offices employ about 140 fulltime

employees and service key accounts such as eBay, Disney Online, General

Motors and Motorola.

Capozzi said expansion of the SF branch under Farwell’s direction played

a major part in the firm’s California success.
