Wins include Unisphere Solutions, which offers voice and data networking

products for the converged networks of service providers; WorldStreet,

an applications service provider for the financial industry; Cabot

Corp., a specialty chemical, materials and energy company; Blue Cross &

Blue Shield; and Acadia National Health Systems, a medical consulting

company which is launching a new e-commerce service at the beginning of

next year.

According to president and CEO Peter Morrissey, several of the wins were

the result of relationships he developed while serving as president of

Clarke & Company, a position he held for 16 years. His seven-month-old

agency competed in formal pitches for the business against firms such as

Feinstein Kean Partners and Bridgeman Communications. For WorldStreet,

Morrissey is taking over from Edelman as agency of record.

’We feel like the Red Sox,’ said Morrissey. ’We’re swinging away and

beating New York agencies.’

As a result of the new business, the agency has hired Wendy Bulawa, a

former director of McGrath/Power’s Boston office, as a hi-tech

consultant and Scott Emberly, formerly with Bristol Communications in

Halifax, Nova Scotia, as a full-time associate.

Morrissey & Company, which specializes in business-to-business

communications and reputation management in the hi-tech, healthcare, and

corporate and financial services sectors, now boasts seven retainer

clients.
