Online health site taps Blaze for PR

SAN FRANCISCO: Healthshop.com, the leading Web retailer of natural health products, has tapped Southern California boutique agency The Blaze Company to roll out a national consumer PR campaign.

health products, has tapped Southern California boutique agency The

Blaze Company to roll out a national consumer PR campaign.



Recently ranked number one among natural health web sites in both sales

and site traffic (according to Media Metrix and PC Data Online),

healthshop.com has worked with Switzer Associates since its launch in

January 1999. The Sausalito, CA-based, hi-tech firm will continue to

handle the site’s trade and financial PR.



However, VP of marketing and business development Bob Purcell said he

believed it was time to ’add some consumer expertise’ to the branding of

the site. He was familiar with Blaze from a previous experience working

with them on Noah’s New York Bagels.



For Blaze, the win represents its first real foray into the world of

e-commerce. Outside of helping publicize the site for gourmet peanut

butter company Sorrell Pickard, this represents the first dot-com client

for the Venice, CA agency better known for its work in the retail and

hospitality sectors.
