and Einson Freeman, announced last week that they have pooled their

resources to form a new joint venture, EinsonHealth.

John Hopper, managing partner for global client services at Einson

Freeman, has taken on the additional role of heading the new healthcare

marketing unit. EinsonHealth will likely differ from other CommonHealth

offerings in its emphasis on what Hopper calls ’experiential

marketing.’

Described by Hopper as ’brand promotion involving the five senses -

tactics that allow consumers to touch, feel, and interact with the

product’ experiential marketing often involves events, retail programs,

sponsorships and partnerships.

EinsonHealth opens with five healthcare clients, including Eli Lilly,

McNeil and Becton Dickinson. ’Considering the way healthcare is growing,

we expect a wealth of opportunities over the next three years,’ Hopper

said.

Although EinsonHealth will operate as a separate business unit, Hopper

said he anticipates tapping its parent companies and other WPP Group

members for additional resources and experience. The new division is

based in CommonHealth’s Parsippany, NJ, headquarters.
