CHICAGO: Private equity firm GTCR Golder Rauner has teamed up with

former CommonHealth CEO Gil Bashe to form a new healthcare marketing

services network.

Fueled by dollars 60 million in equity financing, the network is

expected to launch in January, at which time its name will be announced.

Bashe will serve as CEO of the new organization.

The healthcare-specific network will be comprised of several member

companies (including PR firms and ad shops) and will focus on seven core

markets: US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada.

In some cases, the member companies will be existing enterprises, but

Bashe was quick to note that he plans to invest in start-up teams as

well.

’We want to tap into the best talent and let them continue to be

entrepreneurs.’

Bashe has ambitious plans for the network, projecting that it will reach

dollars 1 billion in revenue within the next five years. He hopes to

capitalize on two major trends: the globalization of pharmaceutical

brands and the ’customer-ization’ of healthcare patients (i.e. from a

service perspective, viewing patients as customers).
