Duffy Wall and Associates.

The TAA board awarded a one-year contract with a two-year renewal option

to the firm last week, a deal valued at dollars 185,000 annually. The

board hopes its investment will grease the skids for a dollars 16

million noise abatement grant it plans to seek from the Aviation Trust

Fund, according to airports director Brent Kitchen. Kitchen noted that

Tulsa recouped only 10% of last years’s tax contributions.

The TAA based its choice of R. Duffy Wall on the agency’s success in

helping the City of Tulsa negotiate the conversion of an old Air Force

bomber plant into a facility that will house a school bus factory.

The TAA also tapped Tulsa’s Schnake Turnbo Brookey & Associates (STB)

for general PR duties, awarding the firm a one-year contract that could

be worth as much as dollars 75,000 annually.

STB employed TAA earlier in the decade. Both agencies will work closely

with new marketing manager Mary Smith, who begins her TAA stint on

January 5.
