CHICAGO: Doug Dome has acquired controlling interest in Dome Newark Wolf Communications. Prior to arriving at the agency, Dome had served as managing director of PR for the Impact Communications Group, a subsidiary of FCB Chicago. NEW YORK: Medialink has partnered with the Associated Press on NewsIQ, a

new service for corporate communicators. Under the agreement, the AP

will share its material with Medialink, which will then distribute

relevant information to subscribers.





DALLAS: Shelton Communications Group has promoted two-year firm veteran

Stacey Gaswirth to the post of VP of public relations. In her new role,

Gaswirth will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s PR division,

pitching for new business and hiring/managing AEs, account coordinators

and interns. Prior to joining Shelton in 1997, Gaswirth was an on-camera

reporter and anchor for several CBS affiliates.





ANN ARBOR, MI: Domino’s Pizza has named Tom McIntyre VP of

communications, a role in which he will lead the company’s global PR

efforts. His responsibilities will include internal communications,

government affairs and community relations.





NEW YORK: Soap opera fan site SoapCity.com has chosen Cataldi Public

Relations to provide publicity, promotions and marketing services. The

site, recently launched by Columbia TriStar Interactive, offers news,

chats and merchandise.





BOSTON: Brodeur’s global consumer technology practice has added Palm

Reach, a Stockholm-based developer of personalized technology for users

of mobile and wireless products, to its client roster. Brodeur will

develop consumer brand-building and industry trade programs for the

company.





NEW YORK: The PR world lost two highly regarded pros on December 12. NYC

publicity legend Bernie Bennett, a press agent dubbed ’Mr. Publicity

Man’ by comedian Jackie Mason, succumbed to cancer at age 69. Former

Terpin Group EVP Rolland S. Going died at the age of 52.





SAN FRANCISCO: Ruder Finn has added two top execs to its San Francisco

outpost: Nancy Crowe, director of integrated consumer marketing, and

Roberta Silverstein, VP for business-to-business. Crowe previously

operated a special events and promotions firm, while Silverstein was a

VP and account manager in AlexanderOgilvy’s Menlo Park office.





NEW YORK: Linden Alschuler & Kaplan has added Timothy Ray as a VP. Ray

boasts over 10 years of PR experience, most recently as the director of

publicity for Macy’s East.





RESTON, VA: Techcellence, a web-based support service for IT

contractors, has selected Stanton Crenshaw Communications as its agency

of record. Developed by the Netplex Group, Techcellence will be launched

with an integrated campaign.
