Ladbrokes staffer Richard Royal to launch Lionheart Public Affairs

Ladbrokes public affairs manager Richard Royal is to launch his own start-up consultancy Lionheart Public Affairs.

Royal, who is also an approved parliamentary candidate for the Conservatives and founder and former chairman of the Westminster Russia Forum, is leaving Ladbrokes at the end of this week.

He spent more than four years managing the political strategy at Ladbrokes, as well as working on corporate PR and crisis communications, charitable and CSR programmes.

Prior to working at the betting company Royal spent four years as a senior account manager at local authority consultants Green Issues Communications.
