Kenmare owns and operates the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine on the north east coast of Mozambique, which is one of the world’s largest producers of titanium minerals supplying the global paint, plastics and coatings industries.

Buchanan picked up the brief following a competitive pitch, understood to have featured a number of other City PR heavyweights including Pelham Bell Pottinger and Brunswick. The firm has previously worked with Murray Consultants and Tavistock Communications.

The account team is led by Bobby Morse, senior partner, who commented: "Kenmare Resources has developed and brought into production the Moma Mine, a world class and low-cost asset. Following the expansion and the ramp up to full production, Kenmare has an exciting opportunity to further consolidate its position as a leading titanium minerals producer, and to generate significant returns for shareholders over the next few years."

Kenmare Resources completed Phase II expansion in 2013, and is expected to produce eight per cent of global TiO2 minerals from the expanded facilities.
