Simon Cliffe joins Waggener Edstrom as head of editorial and broadcast strategy

Waggener Edstrom has hired former ITN broadcast journalist Simon Cliffe as head of editorial and broadcast strategy.

He will work alongside ex-BBC broadcaster and vice president of editorial and broadcast strategy Nick Meir in helping the agency’s broadcast team deliver integrated strategic campaigns across the EMEA region.

Cliffe has joined from Independent Media News where he was head of news, content and campaigns.

He has also been executive director of the British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies and group director of radio and digital news at Global Radio, having begun as a photographer and photo-journalist before moving into national newsrooms as a journalist at ITN, IRN and Virgin Radio.
