Westbourne Communications hires Metro political editor John Higginson

Public affairs agency Westbourne Communications has hired John Higginson, the political editor of national free newspaper Metro, as head of communications.

Higginson will join on 2 January and is a partial replacement for Ashish Prashar, the agency’s former head of communications who left in the autumn after less than a year.

"We’ve always wanted to get someone from the lobby," said Westbourne founder James Bethell.
