The work was previously with Food Matters, which has handled it for more than 10 years.

Liquid’s brief is to raise awareness of the world-class credentials of Irish food and drink, and particularly beef, within the UK consumer and retail sectors. It will also support the Bord Bia Origin Green sustainability development programme.

The agency will report to Bord Bia general manager UK Michelle Butler and the account will be led by Liquid director Rhona Templer.

Templer said: "We look forward to raising awareness of the premium credentials of Irish beef. We will be working with some of Britain's best chefs to demonstrate the wonderful taste and versatility of this superb product as well as the range and quality of other Irish brands.

"In addition, we will focus on Origin Green, Bord Bia's unique sustainability development programme, to demonstrate the commitment of Irish food and drink producers to operating sustainably."

Food Matters told PRWeek it hoped to retain some kind of relationship with Bord Bia, but was not currently working with the organisation.
