Vimeo names global comms head

Video-sharing website Vimeo has appointed Text 100 account director Jessica Casano-Antonellis as global director of communications, effective November 12.

Casano-Antonellis, who has worked at Text 100 for nearly nine years, will report to Vimeo CEO Kerry Trainor. She will succeed former Vimeo communications director Deborah Szajngarten, who left in April to become VP of marketing communications at mobile advertising company Celtra.

As head of the communications department at Vimeo, Casano-Antonellis will oversee the brand's communications strategy, including product launches, speaking engagements, and other initiatives aimed at increasing awareness across consumer, trade, and social media outlets.

Prior to Text 100, Casano-Antonellis served as a senior account executive for about a year at Northside Media Group's The L Magazine. She previously held roles at Clear Channel Radio's 106.7 Lite FM and eMusic, an online music and audio book service.

Last month, Vimeo brought on Greg Clayman, former head of News Corporation's digital strategy, to serve as GM of audience networks
