The site is used by leading brands such as boohoo.com and Hostelworld.com to collect reviews and evaluate shopping experience and customer satisfaction.

3 Monkeys will help Trustpilot drive consumer awareness of the site and develop its online community in the UK as well as helping to build a business customer base.

Trustpilot chief marketing officer Jan Vels Jensen commented: ‘The brand is growing rapidly and we have appointed 3 Monkeys to inject their passion into raising brand awareness and credibility of Trustpilot and its online TrustScore.

‘It was evident through the competitive pitch process that 3 Monkeys’ culture fits very well with Trustpilot’s energized but strategic approach to business.’

3 Monkeys business communications director Sarah Ogden said: ‘Trustpilot was one of those brands that we immediately became excited about. They are ambitious and up for doing things differently. Our brief is broad and we can do what we do best – work laterally across different audiences to tell one story.

‘Starting PR from scratch with Trustpilot allows us to really nail our messaging and deliver an agile and creative campaign that delivers great results,’ she added.

The site currently has five million consumer reviews of 60,000 businesses across 24 countries. It was founded in Denmark in 2007 and is backed by Index Ventures and Seed Capital.
