Hudson Sandler will take over as 888 Holdings’ retained financial and corporate comms adviser following a competitive pitch.
The company is understood to have retained M:Communications since 2006, having listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2005.
The gaming firm is one of a host of M: clients to find new retained agencies after it was confirmed that M: is to wind-up by the end of the summer.
Brian Mattingley, chief executive of 888, commented: ‘Following the unfortunate departure of our highly valued team from M:Communications, we have appointed Hudson Sandler, which demonstrated a good understanding of our business and has the capabilities to support our development internationally.’
The Hudson Sandler team will comprise CEO Andrew Hayes, chairman Michael Sandler, associate director Kate Hoare, account director Alex Brennan and Adam Friedman in the US.
Hayes said it was a ‘important time for the company and the online gaming industry’, adding: ‘888 websites provide an enjoyable customer experience in a safe and secure environment and the company is, therefore, well placed to continue its development in the UK and internationally.’
Founded in 1997, the firm targets both consumers and b2b clients and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index with a market capitalisation of approximately £550m.
