The agency appointed The Rubber Chicken as a ‘resident comedy collective’ to support its real-time marketing.

The comedy group will help the agency’s clients react to breaking news and join conversations with entertaining and shareable content.

Charlie Coney, EMEA head of creative at GolinHarris, said: ‘Comedians possess an intriguing mix of acute observational skills and an ability to improvise. They produce engaging content on the back of entertaining and accurate insights – clear parallels to what we do as an agency.’

The partnership was launched with a comedy showcase at London’s Proud Cabaret last week, featuring Owyn Stephens, a comedian from the agency’s ideas sharing forum The Bright Collective, and The Rubber Chicken’s Tom Price.

The Rubber Chicken is a writing collective made up of award-winning stand-up comedians, writers, script associates and producers.

The group’s credits include Extras and The News Quiz. It has also provided material for Al Murray and Ant & Dec.
