Property giant Jones Lang LaSalle hires Octopus for UK work

Global property firm Jones Lang LaSalle has drafted in Octopus to build its profile in the UK market.

Octopus picked up the corporate brief, which is worth a six-figure sum, following a pitch.

It is understood that Jones Lang LaSalle has no incumbent agency for the corporate brief, but will continue to work with a number of agencies for regional media relations across the UK.

Octopus will aim to develop the profile of the firm and its senior UK team in the business media. It will also handle executive comms and stakeholder engagement.

The property firm is well known for operating the national estate agents of the same name, but also has a wide range of property services including investment management, property management and global consulting.

It is the biggest property firm in the UK following its merger with King Sturge in 2011, and handles international sales and lettings for high-profile properties such as The Shard and Battersea Power Station.

The account boosts Octopus Group’s portfolio of corporate and professional services clients, which includes recruiter Michael Page and law firm Kemp Little.

Practice head Tom Holland, who will lead the work, said: ‘Property is at the heart of the UK economy. Our job will be to find new campaigns and innovative ways of making Jones Lang LaSalle central to many of the key business stories out there.’

Jones Lang LaSalle lead director of marketing communications and research Misa von Tunzelman commented: ‘Octopus Group stood out in the pitch process with its creativity and campaign-led approach to our brief, which aligns well with our broader marketing strategy.’
