We Are Social has topped PRWeek's annual ranking of the industry's top 50 digital agencies.

The agency has taken the top spot with a near 100 per cent increase in fee income compared with 2011, rising from fourth place last year.

Edelman, MHP, Hotwire and Four Communications Group join We Are Social in the top five, in a year which saw overall digital fee income rise by four per cent to £75.15m.
