Hill+Knowlton Strategies expands into video production

Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired an ad director as it launches its own video production arm.

The new offering will be called AudioVisual Content + Production and led by H+K staffer James Alexander, while Toby Leslie has been brought in as a senior creative producer.

Leslie, who was most recently freelancing as a script writer for Powder Blue films, previously directed TV ads for brands including Pizza Hut and The Guardian.

The pair will work across H+K clients and alongside existing staff and freelancers where required, with expansion of the division likely in the longer term.

It will focus initially on consumer work but is likely to expand beyond this, with corporate work one particular area of interest.

Group MD Ben Curson, who is leading the expansion of H+K's specialist services, said: 'We have worked with audiovisual content for some time, particularly around the Olympics.

'Instead of working with other agencies we wanted to bring that capability in-house.'
