The Stir PR team will work with Berry Bros & Rudd to raise awareness of its partnership with The Coronation Festival, which is due to be held at Buckingham Palace in July.
The work will focus on promoting The King’s Ginger, a liqueur that was created by Berry Bros for King Edward VII in 1903, through national news supplements and the consumer lifestyle sector, with a specific focus on food titles.
The agency will also seek to boost the profile of Berry Bros & Rudd chairman Simon Berry in his role as the clerk of the Royal Cellars, running the wine cellar of the Queen and the royal family.
It will target trade, national and London-focused titles.
The account will be led by Stir PR director Jo Seymour-Taylor, who will report to Berry Bros & Rudd PR manager Vicky Williams. Media relations for the merchant will continue to be handled by its retained agency Hope&Glory.
Berry Bros & Rudd is the oldest wine merchant in the UK and its flagship store is located in St James’, London.
