Piers Pottinger moves to Singapore to chair Bell Pottinger Asia

Bell Pottinger Private deputy chairman Piers Pottinger is taking the role of chairman of the group's Asian operations in a bid to boost the company's client base in the region.

The company’s Asia MD Ang Shih-Huei is also being promoted to CEO to strengthen the company’s presence.

Pottinger said: ‘Growing our business in Asia is Bell Pottinger’s number one priority, which is why I have moved to Singapore. We are growing rapidly here and throughout the region, most notably in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Our corporate and financial communications expertise coupled with our global public affairs skills are already attracting an enviable client base.’

The firm has been operating in Asia over the past 20 years and established its Asian headquarters in Singapore in 2010.

Pottinger will retain his role as deputy to Bell Pottinger Private chairman Lord Bell.
